WED Expo Crosses 100 Exhibitors Mark

…………..Venue Changes From TBS to Landmark, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Momentum is steadily gathering already for WED Expo, the largest wedding exhibition in Nigeria and West African sub-continent, as it crosses 100 exhibitors mark and moves venue from Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), to Landmark in Victoria Island, off Ligali Ayorinde for strategic purpose.
The organisers of the exhibition coming up on Thursday 21st of March to Sunday 24th of March, 2013, described the change of venue as a strategic plan. “This year’s exhibition will be a major experience, because we want exhibitors and visitors to have the best of time that will remain with them for a long time to come. What we plan for this year is enormous and massive. Last year we had over 135 exhibitors, but this year the figure is expected to jack up to 200” and now the exhibition will be managed by InnovoEdge Exhibitions an international firm that are expert project managers of exhibitions. Akin Eso enthused.

Talking about wedding exhibitions in West Africa, WED Expo, has created an imprint that will serve as a benchmark for exhibitions for a very long time to come, with reference to the last edition where there were over 135 exhibitors and 10,000 visitors in attendance. The occasion afforded the best and the brightest in the wedding industry the chance to be under one roof and on the same page to hobnob.

Fresh introduction like the WED Awards and Wine Fest have been added to the features of the wedding exhibition to give it a mileage this year. Wed Awards is aimed at acknowledging the best and the brightest wedding professionals in the industry, while the objective of Wine Fest arose from the fact that wine and spirits are integral part of weddings in Nigeria. Some artistes are also billed to perform to the delight of the exhibitors and visitors in attendance. There is gainsaying, the success of the first edition has served as an impetus for the organisers to increase the features of the wedding exhibition this year.

The previous edition which held at The Haven in G.R.A, Ikeja, Lagos, had in attendance over 135 exhibitors and 10,000 visitors. Exhibitors were drawn from the makeup industry, bridal accessory retailers, photography and video studios, dress makers, cake makers, decorators, planners, Aso Oke makers and many others who are directly and indirectly involved with weddings. It has been described as the biggest wedding exhibition in the West African sub-continent.

WED Expo is organised by Akin Eso, publisher of WED Magazine, a wedding planning magazine which also focuses on relationships and family. It is a magazine with Nigerian and global roots. Akin Eso is also a Life and Business coach, who made an inroad into the Nigerian Wedding Industry few years ago.
